Timeline

Description

Authors create an interactive timeline that uses images and text. Timelines also support assets such as Twitter, YouTube, Flickr, Vimeo, Google Maps, and SoundCloud with a space to properly credit the author of the assets. To build, authors will input each of the dates with the corresponding assets. They also have the ability to create specific eras of time across their timeline. The interface may be translated into one of 54 languages.

When to Use Timeline

Timeline is most useful when presenting learners with information about periods of time or the history of a specific person or item. For example, authors may want to share biographical information about a specific president, or a timeline of World War II. Learners can click through the timeline and engage in the variety of assets provided. Timeline is great to pair with additional activities via an Interactive Book or Column Layout.
