The Curriki Story
Curriki is a nonprofit organization that has been revolutionizing the way learning content has been distributed and openly shared for over a decade.
Curriki
Curriki was founded by Sun Microsystems in March 2004 as the Global Education & Learning Community (GELC). Kim Jones co-founded Curriki with Scott McNealy, a founder of Sun Microsystems.
Sun Microsystems spun Curriki off as an independent nonprofit to focus on building a repository of curricula and to create an online community for this repository. The repository began indexing resources, ultimately garnering over 250,000 library materials through the next decade.
Curriki has over 500,000 educator, parent, and student members, and has garnered over 14 million visits from around the world.
